Product Overview:
The TEC-1092 is a very small, PCB mountable Peltier controller module that is specially designed to meet the requirements for small thermo-electric laser diode cooling and sensor cooling applications. It features a high current resolution and highly efficient controller (DC output).
These laser diode and sensor TEC controllers can be mounted on the EVL-1093 Evaluation Board to allow the connection to a host by USB, as well as using a DPY-1113 TEC Status Display Kit. It can also operate in a remotely-controlled manner, with the parameters adjusted on the fly.
When configured as a DC power-supply, the TEC-1092 can handle current and voltage settings. In the remote-control case, the temperature data may be passed on to be processed by the host. For direct PCB mounting, the PCB should be mounted at the mounting bore M using an M2 screw.
The TEC-1092 controllers are digitally controllable through software or API and scripting. A LabVIEW VI (PDF) option is also available to operate the TEC controller. Other communications and security features are used to help enhance the product's functional range.
The TEC-1092’s configurable parameters further include sensor linearization (Pt100 / Pt1000) and Steinhart-Hart modeling (NTC), Peltier element modeling, PID controller auto tuning, temperature acquisition hardware calibration, nominal temperature ramping, current, voltage and temperature limits, error thresholds, and many others.
