Referencing the attached data sheet, these 1070nm Fiber Lasers from Coherent-ROFIN were designed for applications requiring fine welding, cutting, and drilling. According the data sheet attached, these CW laser can also be operated in Quasi-CW mode. In QCW mode the pulse repetition frequency is from single shot to 170kHz with a pulse duration of 0.5µs. Fiber laser output diameter is 5mm with a beam quality of M2<1.1. The laser can be programmed via RS-232. Output power can be controlled via RS-232 or analog input. Laser can also be controlled via a TTL signal. Fiber laser wavelength is 1070nm with output power up to 200 watts.

According to the data sheet attached, the Coherent-ROFIN StarFiber is a robust & compact fiber laser source which has been optimized for industrial laser material processing applications. The StarFiber laser allows very small seam geometries at very high welding speeds. The welded joints show maximum strength with minimal heat input to the work pieces.
